Hey friends, it's Spring Training season here in Arizona! Perfect weather, great baseball, awesome venues and delicious local beer! No matter what area of town you are in, there are a ton of teams to watch and stadium locations to choose from. While we got a late start with the owner and player negotiations happening this year, you still have time to catch a game. Or plan ahead for next year!
Our Adventure to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, AZ
Ken and I recently rode our bikes to a Spring Training game to watch the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants play and it was a blast! I highly recommend riding bikes if possible to a game as you can avoid the long lines in the parking lot and the angry drivers! It was a gorgeous Spring day here in Scottsdale and the bike ride was so much fun.
We were fortunate enough to be invited to join friends in a suite at the Salt River Fields stadium and it was amazing! Food, drinks, friends, and plenty of shaded seating with a great view of the game. I am not sure how we get so lucky with these events, but Ken is a master at living the #bestlifeever. He is always getting great deals or invitations for us...I like to tell him I am just riding on his coat tails ;-)
The stadium at Salt River Fields is a great place to watch a game! They serve local Arizona beer and great snacks and they have free "stations" set up with sunscreen! I thought that was so cool...(it's an "Arizona thing"). Another great tip if you are visiting from out of town...if you stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale it is located right next to the stadium at Salt River Fields and you could walk right next door to a game and also enjoy an awesome resort and water park.
